ZULLINGER — A manufacturing company that has been in business for more than 100 years and has locations in Maryland, Montana and Mexico, will host a grand opening and ribbon cutting on its Washington Township plant tomorrow.

The 10 a.m. Wednesday ribbon-cutting ceremony will include a tour of the new facility.

Jamison Door Company broke ground last fall on the Jamison BMP manufacturing facility on Zane Miller Drive in the Wharf Road Industrial Park.

Jamison makes insulated doors, air doors and high-speed, roll-up doors, specializing in doors for cold-storage businesses.

The 50,000-square-foot facility will focus on BMP roll-up doors is expected to employ 30 to 35 employees.

“This is a project with significant ramifications for the local and regional economy,” said Mike Ross, president of the Franklin County Area Development Corporation. “It represents the expansion of one of the region’s longest-continuously operating manufacturing companies-Jamison Door Company. The $4-million investment has been predicated on Jamison’s strategic partnership with BMP and the growing market demand for its doors.”

Ross said the latest addition to the industrial park makes it fully built-out and has become one of the premier employment centers in the greater Waynesboro area.
